This off-season the Ottawa Redblacks brought in quarterback Matt Nichols, but that isn’t the only quarterback coming to play in the nation’s capital for the first time in 2021. The Ottawa Redblacks also announced the signings of both Caleb Evans and Taryn Christion, who after Dominique Davis will be competing to dress in a few games in 2021. Adding to the quarterbacks room, the Ottawa Redblacks on Monday signed former Marshall quarterback Chase Litton. Litton, a 25 year old 6-foot-5 quarterback has been on 4 different professional football teams spread a part by the Kansas City Chiefs, Jacksonville Jaguars and the XFL’s Tampa Bay Vipers and Seattle Dragons but his real production came ahead of his professional career.
At the University of Marshall, Litton threw for over 8,000 yards and 72 touchdowns, breaking a record for 23 touchdowns passing as a freshman in 2015.
